Hello Sydney!

It's been a couple of days since I arrived in Sydney and I guess it's really too early to say anything. But I guess it feels good to stay near Chinatown because I get to see many Asians and chinese-related things! As much as I would like to adapt to the environment and culture here, I would say that I am a stronger believer of remembering our roots. So living near Chinatown in Sydney seems to be killing two birds in one stone, which is pretty good! (i hope) :)

It's O week now and seriously, I haven never been to such a long stay-over O week. I really would rather be back in the city but wells, everything happens for a reason. Cant wait to get back on Saturday! Somehow, I would really love it more if I was here for a long long holiday but sadly, school starts proper next week! It's 10 weeks per term, I hope time flies because it seems really slow and relaxed here. And I think I really wouldn't know what to do if I had too much free time. But the subjects seem tough, so I hope I will be hardworking enough to work my socks off! :D

And the time difference is kinda bad for me, it's neither here nor there so it always feels like it's still early (spore time) but is actually pretty late here. And it's really bad cause I really am a night person. Alrights, I guess I can only update more after I get settled and school starts. Keeping my fingers crossed it's going to turn out great! :)

the countdown timer has ticked since i decided to sign the letter of acceptance and now it's showing a big FOUR DAYS LEFT! it seems so surreal and yet, it's definitely real. it's mixed feelings in me now, i don really know how to describe it. i have been so busy i have no time to think that much which is good i guess. but times like this when i am really tired, with my eyes closing, into the quiet night alone, i think of all the whys and ifs. i haven quite understood how i had the courage to make the decision to leave home, i never thought i would. but i guess dreams of the younger years and the hopes for future pushed me for it subconsciously. i sure hope the fantasized ideals come true. but life is so unpredictable, i just gotta keep my fingers crossed and work hard. i really have failed myself so many times, it's really the age of now or never! no more slacker days pls! on the other hand, i have psych myself quite a bit for the goodbye part, i hope i have done enough to not cry at the departure terminal. whichever, cry or not cry, if or no ifs, whys and no whys, i am on my way! goodbye Singapore, i will be back in no time! :)

Looking Backward and Forward

As we bid 2011 goodbye and say hello to 2012, it's the time again to look backward and forward. Looking back, 2011 was a pretty good year. For as far back as my old memory serve me, I am glad how 2011 turned out to be. I cannot remember any resolutions I made for 2011, perhaps, I made none but I definitely managed to accomplish certain things I wanted to. The large part of 2011 was graduation and thinking of the future and making the big decision to leave home for 2 years. This decision probably came as a surprise to many, and sometimes, when I sit down alone, I am surprised myself. Whichever the case, everything happens for a reason and for sure, I hope it's gonna be a great journey. There's never a perfection in life, so for as much as I could have done better in 2011, or in any other year, it's time to bid goodbye, keep all the memories and be better in 2012.

Looking forward, I would be turning 22+1, and stepping out on a new journey. Saying goodbyes is never easy, loneliness and uncertainties are definitely scary but yet all these are part and parcel of life and growing up. It's always been an experience I wanted and I am somehow glad I am on my way. No matter how things turn out to be, I know I would not regret having a go at it. I have been asked many a times if I am excited, to be true, a part of me is but a large part of me still cannot bear to leave. There are so many people and things that I would miss but as my previous post says, 离开，是为了更好地回来, I am looking forward to being a better person and achieving greater things in 2012.

I really wonder why some people indulge in self-pity. If it's reverse psychology to get people to empathize, to care more for you, to reassure you that you are good, to say that you deserve better, to love you more.... to a thousand other things. Then, I am sorry. It's backfiring, at least on me.

If you cant even love yourself the way you are, if you cant even learn to appreciate every little thing you have, if you are not even confident of yourself, and if only reassurance and praises from others can get you to move on with life, then you really need to get a life.

If all you ever care is about structuring an image to be pitied because you are such a nice person but life circumstances have it that you are ill-fortunate. If all you ever think about is how the whole world has let you down and you were the sane who wanted to love and be nice to everyone. Please wake up.

知足常乐。如果学不会知足，

不要怨天怨地而忘了怨自己。

Sometimes, I feel like we are living in a slum! These people are just so inconsiderate they can't throw their rubbish properly.I have weird and non-existent neighbours except for one family.

The neighbours to my right change every other month, or maybe even daily. I don even know who they are. It works like a daily hotel, isn't this against the law? All I ever know about them is that they leave their doors wide open and loves to throw rubbish at 2am! and when they leave, they throw their rubbish all over the place. The neighbours to my left have been here for as long as I have. But they are probably filthy rich, they dont have to work all their lives. But oh, they are probably so rich cuz they have been wearing the same outfit for all of their lives too. And now I have two ~~watchcats~~ at my corridors thanks to them. Isn't it against the law too? To bring the cats up!! (and poo-ing in my flowerpot!) And so the King and Queen of the corridor will stare fiercely at us when we want to enter/exit the lifts, as if we are the ones invading their space. Stupidity! I am more scared of them okay! I just dont understand why the neighbours cant feed the cats downstairs (it is against the law too!) or bring the cats into their house if they love them so much. And now I am always on the lookout for them, I cant even go out and get into my house in peace. Wth.

Now, now, something needs to be done. Any law enforcer reading this!? But I gave up hope, hoping for anything to happen. Neighbours to the right have been changing for at least a decade and more. Neighbours to the left just wont budge with the cats. ARGH.

It's been so long since I last blogged and life has been pretty awesome. It's been only a good 20 days since the last exam but it somehow feels like a long time has passed. Not settled on anything yet, I have been thinking hard of my future. And my future equates to thinking about my career and postgrad studies. And when I pause from my own busy thoughts, I look around and am pretty amazed at the plans of people around me. They have got plans, concrete plans of settling down in life. Distant friends being engaged or even married; closer friends getting attached and having thoughts and plans for building a family.

The drastic difference made me pause to think once again. But I can only say, I am definitely looking forward to the very first wedding of a close friend. It's probably gonna be so awesome and like domino, wedding bells will continue to ring for a period of time, just like how 21st parties flowed throughout the year. It really is scary how we are all growing old so fast. The cruel reality of hitting 21 and life flies at the speed of light.

And unlike the previous post of being so lost, I think I've got a plan. "Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen." It should happen, according to Ralph Waldo Emerson. Here I come, Dear Plan! :D

I remember struggling with my feelings and thoughts 3 years back, undecided on the course and university to choose. It's now five weeks to the end of university life and I look back, still undecided if I made the right choice. Good or bad, I made it through with the typical ups and downs of life. Oh maybe not just yet, it will be better to announce my survival after this semester's grades are released. Whichever it is, it's again time for decisions to be made, if not one, then many.

I remember a friend of mine telling me back then that she was going to study medicine but after a few days, she told me she was all settled and that she has chosen to take up maritime studies instead. And I asked, 'how come?' because she was all adamant on studying medicine before. And she answered, 'i just know it'. Is this the so called eureka? If so, please dawn on me soon!

It is one of those days that you wake up feeling that you are lost in life, that all those dreams were things of the past, that the world has forsaken you. This feeling of lost has been seeping in so silently it makes me wonder if I am falling into depression. Nothing drastic has happened, everyday life goes on but beneath it, I know deeply, there's a high possibility of something being wrong somewhere.

Control+A, delete. Thats what I did to my paragraphs below. Because people who know me will know me. Those silent wounds and pain will heal with time. There's no magic hand that can help me, except perhaps, finding my old self and begin to dream all over again.

The greatest irony of the day is that I wore the shirt stating the big words: "WHAT IS YOUR DREAM". There is an urgent need to find back my old self, the one who had ideals, who believed firmly in her abilities, the one who was competitive, the one who dreamt as if she would live forever and lived as if she would die that very fine day.

Having bid the old self goodbye for the longest time ever, it's time to inject life back in. Welcome back to the world of dreams Diana!

Bet she wouldnt be able to sleep. HAHA!

And the crazy mob each time he came down....
Too bad he didnt reach his goal of being able to walk all the way to the back of the hall. But it was really very nice of him to try three times! :) Singapore fans need to learn to stay calm! Seriously, if everyone of them stayed in their seats, the chances of taking better pictures of him and shaking his hands will be much higher. Zzz.

Overall, a great performance but the old-school-stage setting really wouldnt bring justice to any performance. I thought Singapore was going to be an arts hub, but this kinda stage for a hub? We really ought to get working man. Silly me kinda regret not buying the first category tickets, didnt think he would come down that many times! But luckily, my seat was good enough for a great view of the whole show! The little wish of mine to watch Raymond Lam's concert is just but half fulfilled though, I totally need to go HongKong this July!

脑海里一直出现着然后这两个字。
然后，就有了以下这些关于然后的感想。

很多时候，我们做事前都会顾及到然后。
做了这个选择，做了这个决定，然后呢？
然后，真的这么重要吗？
顾虑着，然后，就形成了僵局，不知如何是好。
然后，就此放弃，因为不知然后。

可不可以，不再顾虑然后。
想做就做，想说就说？
因为，做了说了，至少知道了然后。
好与不好，一定好过没有然后。

现阶段，常被问到的问题就是，
‘快要毕业了吧，决定要做什么工了吗？'
是生活无意定下的规矩吗？
读完大学，就打工？
这就是所谓的正路，所谓的然后？

要毕业是事实，但这然后却不是必然。
至少，对我而言，我毕业之后的然后，
我不想盲目地打工，随风飘移。
曾经想过无数个毕业后然后的情景。
但是，现在我不想再想了。

想做就做，然后自然会出现。
不行动，然后一定不会发生。
不再设想, 勇敢地随着心走，
终有一日，期望已久的然后必然会出现。

转眼间，新的一年又开始了，2011年，22岁了！
仔细想想，22年里，真的没有太多的成就。
五个月后毕业的我，憧憬理想，不是没有。
但要达成，谈何容易，从何开始？
前途似一片光明，却又似朦朦胧胧。

想了一想，一切还是等到那时才再筹谋好了！

所以就先让我好好珍惜这最后学期的大学生涯吧！

22年的旅途里，最值得庆幸，最珍惜的，

Busy Busy Busy?

suddenly, trying to meet up with people becomes like doing a project. any confirmation of dates can only be done after everyone checks their schedules. it seems as if we are all big business-women, earning big bucks and doing great things to our lives.
we are just students or some very normal john.

it's probably that as we grow up, we get more commitments to our lives. directions change, priorities shift. and so i wonder, when everyone really grows up to be some successful person (hopefully!), maybe we really ought to be booking appointments through assistants or try setting up dates 3 months beforehand. and note that the booked slot might not even be guaranteed. perhaps the word 'friend' will just be transformed into 'client'.
how cool is that.

I think I should be scolding myself for being a follower of the blog which I shouldn't be. Something must be wrong with me (I know). Regardless of whatever reasons as to why I read this particular blog, I am pretty amazed how someone can lament as much.I always wanted to tag in rebuttal to the posts. But on second thoughts, I never did that. Believer of freedom of speech? Yes I Am. But putting this belief into action? No, not on people's territory. But, Yes on Mine. And so here I am...

Actually I wouldn't want to dwell on it too much.

But just some thoughts (actually my intended tags?)-

On life:
stop wallowing in self-pity. Get a life and know that life's the way it is, and it never changes no matter how much anyone complains. The world wouldn't change to fit you, so you change to fit into the world. If not, continue to feel ostracized and no one will take pity on you, except you yourself.

On friendship:
The one thing that irritates me the most from the posts. If friendship is measured in terms of returns, why not invest in stocks instead? Stop measuring friendship! I haven seen anyone whose life revolve around a friend, so don't expect it to happen. Your expectation of a friend, is clearly and plainly, too much for anyone to attain. Period.

In conclusion:
If you are suffocating so much from being a nice person, stop being one. (I wonder, why would a truly nice person be sick of being a nice person?) If you are so disappointed in your friends, then stop turning to them. Go to your family! If everything doesn't work out, why not stop pointing that finger, and look at the four fingers pointing back at you? The problem probably lies in you.

This is really, a nonsensical post.

SPAIN: European and World Cup CHAMPION! :)

After catching a couple of world cup matches,
it seems the love for soccer is creeping back!
but wth, laliga's airing on starhub and epl on singtel! Sad.
Maybe it's time to choose to sign up for one of the packages again.

And I'm really liking the spain players!
Fabregas, Casillas, Villa, Iniesta and Xavi in particular.

Don't doubt your eyes!
After a decade, I finally watched another korean drama!
The last I watched was Autumn in My Heart, lol.

And amazingly, I like IRIS the best out of all six dramas!
It's superb, take-away the last five min of the last episode.
Because the bad ending's totally unnecessary, I choose to stop the show,
at my own self-created nice lovely ending! :)
And now, perhaps, I've got some korean idols.

First Week of Hols! :)

2nd-3rd May:

Holidays started with watching Ip Man 2 (Midnight) with family and aunties! :D 中国人的精神永存！:) I really quite liked the movie despite the simple plot!

4th May:

Met up with Wei and Ry at Illuma... :) I really felt that we were back in Hk!

Food was good!

Movie was rather average!

But the companions were thumbs up! :D So, I think the next time the 3 of us meet up again... it would be the next hols! We are so gonna have a semestral meet-up!

5th May:

Met up with Seowling for Sushi Tei!
We got seats at the inner seating area and with those lighting and all, it seemed as if we were a couple sneakingly dating! HAHA!

Good meet-up, as it will always be! :) See you next month busy woman! This, would be the monthly meet-up kind! lol.

6th May:

Met up with Liying and Jess at Vivo to get Winnie's present before she came to join us for dinner! Had dinner at King Louis, nice food, nice ambience I would say!

Happy Belated Birthday Winnie! :) Poor girl ended exams so late. HA!
Nus 'clique' gathering coming up i think, ruoyi, wad say you??

The first drama of the Holidays! :)

Not the best serial, but it definitely set me thinking...

Love vs Friendship.

Once a friend has love, things probably change- lesser time spent and lesser memories created together, but does the love for the friendship change? It depends solely on whether the friend is a true friend or just a friend. For one, I personally don't agree with abandoning friends for love.

Although there are stuffs in the show that are really debatable (like is Steven Ma stupid for giving up his love just like that?!) and of course, I didn't like the ending cause I would prefer Tavia to end up with Steven (the!), the show was afterall to my liking, at least it was in tandem with my thinking. (for the part of love vs friendship!)

Tavia doesn't listens to everything the boyfriend says. If it's unreasonable, she reasons it out. Even if it was against her boyfriend's wishes, she went all out to help her bossom friend (a guy friend). She said " if you love me, you wouldn't be doing all these". Love shouldn't be blatantly saying "I love you" but being possessive and controlling and not understanding at all. Although it is said that love is blind, I believe more in being rational, whenever necessary. Love and friendship aint and shouldnt be mutually exclusive.

The friendship song shared by Tavia and Steven in the show, I personally like it very much too!

Wei told me she was looking at HongKong photos, then Keep reminded me on how time flies because last summer, I was in HongKong. And looking down at the shirt I was wearing, it was bought in HongKong. And so it was HongKong x3 in a go, and I Miss HK times more than ever!

My shirt stated: Delay No More!

And I wondered why I never learnt these 3 words!
So for all the delaying, I am stuck at this state now.
3 words as well : Rush, Rush, Rushing!

Isn't it such a fantastic dilemma that I don't even know I should praise myself for all the efficiency or kill myself for all the procrastination. Banging out STATS report in a day and more.Churning out notes, ONE day before the exam! And planning to do even more ridiculous stuff in the next three days. Perhaps, I will do better with no sleep. (impossible!)

With the scenario above, I decided it's better to praise myself for my total efficiency! (too late to kill for all the procrastination anyways) Hopefully the grades don't kill me then. But it's all too early to worry now. Good luck to all of you who are mugging out there. and definitely, luck to myself! :)

Went to catch eawards on Sat with sis and mum! Basically, the whole world was there for Shinee (except us!). Wasn't exactly an exciting event because of the miserable small stage, so we were practically watching the screen! zz. like watching tv! oh wells. But the songs were pretty nice, and I would say, we gt local talent! I wouldnt want to comment further on the attitude of majority of those little girls. (not that I'm very old!) The part that I liked most about the award was JJ dedicating a song to Jack Neo and his wife. Not that I am on his side or whichever, but amidst all those media roaring news and endless gossips and all, it's good to hear something so heartwarming.

Blur blur pictures! (I want an ultra zoom camera!) I really think Moses is getting charming-er by the day! (Must be influenced by Sharon!) Lols. And anyways, headed to IT fair on Sunday! Super packed! And this must be the only IT fair for many years in counting, that I didn't buy anything! :( oh wells. at least, money saved! Busy weeks are coming my way, and probably everyone else's too! Slog hard everyone! Ciao.

27th February

Had finance paper in the morning, thought it was pretty hard but should be passable! (Hopefully, given the past statistics that more than half the class fail for mid-terms!) Met up with the 0607 gang to have a meal and pass Connie her present! Had a good time, but in a weird way. Six of us, sitting togther, but totally felt like a 2 threesome gathering. Oh wells. Decided that mass gatherings hardly work out these days, so it shall either be couple dates, a threesome or at most four pple from now on.... (at least with regards to those that I would plan)

Took Sl's car over to SMU to meet up with Jerr and Wei to study! Finally meeting up after a month's drought! Given our busy and totally crashing schedule, it'll probably be another month before we know it! :S And PhoiYanYin's back in Aust! Sigh! Didn't get to send her afterall and gosh, I am starting to miss those quick dinner we had! Double Sigh! Oh wells, we did talk on the phone yesterday, with both of us sounding sian! ahahha! Alrights, see ya in June! Take care alrights!

Cousin's 21st Birthday Celebration! :)

1st-7th March

Diana finally cooped herself in the room to study! For the whole week! (No choice, since she had 3 midterms to rush!) But her midterms can be summed up very easily with 3 words! DOWN AND DEAD! :S Oh sigh! That's for procrastinating for half the sem! Argh. And so, with all the shitiness thrown out, Diana will start working harder. The usual pre-post test seen in psych experiments should really be used on her. Will her grades start to climb up if she coops in the room to study daily for say 2 hours? Let's see! (If it happens, and if she really do study!) Quoting Jerrie, I really do miss working hard too!

And so after the horrible last mid term paper, met up with sharon to watch HotSummerDays! hmmm, pretty average show I would say. Good catch up and then went over to Aunt's place for dinner, had my hair cut, interacted with the little cousins and went for supper! It's the usual slack practices! ahahahha! Slacked saturday afternoon away as well. Brought Aunt and Sis to the Thai Noodle House near coro to have dinner! (Coro has changed! With the newly added restaurants!) Did the usual household chores in the night and continued slacking (oh wait, I finally jogged) till the very moment here! (Half the sunday has gone by!) And so I shall ciao to bathe and get out for dinner and send Aunt home and stop slacking when I get back! zz!

What a meaningful post! Illustrating my plain dull life! (But guess wad, I've been feeling quite gd with this!) LOL! :)

How wrong was I to think that being truthful was the best kind of giving.

I wouldn't have hesitated in pointing out to people whom i care for how wrong I think he/she is. (obviously, I am not always right, and I expect them to point it back to me!)

But now, I would.

Because closing an eye (or both) seems to make matters not worse.

The unwillingness of humans to face the cruel reality,

our pride and stubborness,

have certified my way of life- the wrong way.

(and although i'm like typical humans, i would love my way to be the right one)

Maybe we should just stop trying so hard.

I miss talking to people whom I can just say anything,everything.

I miss the company that I know would scream into my face when I am being ridiculous.

I miss those couple of people who have been/are still taking all my shit because in some way, they know that was/is my way of caring and loving.

( I know it's really time to meet up, you know who you are!)

I guess I am just tired that being an embracer of freedom of speech,

I have been urged to keep my words because they would hurt.

Australia Trip 2009! Just some pictures to share! :)

An overall pretty okay trip... Cuz it's pretty much like Spore! ahahha!
But it was a summer holiday which didn't seem like it at all.
It was so cold.
And with this post, school starts officially in 10 hours! :S

And so, we met on 17th as planned!

Picked YY up from her house then met SL at Casuarina Curry to have lunch and we had pretty much a good long chat....Then, we headed to Thomson CC, in hope of getting a court for table tennis! but wells wells. So we went in search of it at the hdb...we ended up at the badminton court!

But my badminton skills are :S! hahah! too rusty already, and I think squash affects every racket game I play! We did manage to get the hang of it after a while, but then, at this point of time, LSL discovered YY's talent in Chinese Dance and all the laughters just drained off the teeny bit of energy we had left. But well, it was still great time playing and LAUGHING! :)

And then, we went on photo-taking period at the playground beside it...

We are not that old afterall! LOL!

Then, we headed to J8 to walk ard for a while. Sent SL home before me and YY headed to Bugis to meet Phyllis and RY! Realised we didn't manage to take any photos but yeah, it was a good meet-up after such a long while! <3 How time flies! 4 years since we know each other, 1 year since i last saw yy! and the next time we meet, it will prob be a brand new year! the fact that most of us can drive now, and that i actually am fetching some of my friends makes the fact that we are all grown-up even more explicit! but whichever it is, am really glad to have you guys as mates during the process of turning into a grown-up! Till then! And hopefully, till the end! :)

After half sem of craving, we finally met up for Seoul Garden!
But we didn't eat as much as we thought we would.
But we talked a lot! :) And certain topics really did set me thinking...

It came to my realisation that the three of us all had a drought in keeping in touch!
But it seems we are meeting much more often and having plans to meet more often! :)
Anyways, so we caught 'Princess and the Frog' after lunch.... but.....
We all ended up not being able to find the right words to review it! ha! :X

If i remember correctly, the last time i went bowling (with friends?) was during J1 with the clique! And it's at marina square too! :) How time flies! :S
And so, anyhow, we managed to find a day to meet up! (Too bad winnie's not ard...)

Although it was a pretty short session, it was great catching up! And although we hardly see each other around in sch these days, it's nice that all of us make the effort to meet! Thanks Jess for organising this! Didn't really expect it but yeah, I had fun! And I cant resist the temptation to say "Ruoyi, THE TYCO 'STRIKER'!" :P

Till the next meet up! (The next hol?) Not that long hopefully! :D

It seems 'memorable' is the way to go..
But can i choose to walk both ways?

Don't ask me why I do this or that?
I probably don't have a reason or explanation.
But I know, I do what I want to do...
So that regardless of which category they end up to be, I don't regret at the very least.
And if this proves that I do study, then, yeah, according to the pyschological point of view,
unconcious decisions are best! :)

my first slightly more colourful blogskin died on me. lols. so am back to normal.... wells, i thought the previous one was normal too but apparently most of my friends were plesantly surprised?! hahaha! this blogskin w/o any pictures shouldnt die on me too soon i guess! :)

Week 7 was a crazy week... More of such weeks and I will die.... But whichever it is, it ended with a 'big bang'! :) Happy Birthday dearest Aunt! <3

Celebration was at Fish and Co.

If a picture speaks a thousand words, the pictures above has spoken thousands of words!
Great fun, great food, great companion, great celebration, great family!

It was coincidentally mid-autuum too!

The 'little kids' played with candles and firesparklers while the 'grown ups' ate mooncake and chatted...It's been a long long time we really gathered for mid-autuum. Somehow, I do miss those times we went around carrying our lanterns.... There was no one else celebrating this supposedly grand chinese tradition.... Isn't it saddening our traditions are dying off just like this?

Went to eat MOF on Sunday...

Food was rather nice... Desserts were yummy! :)

And with that, Week 7 came to a closure!
Week 8 should be rather smooth-going if I can just stop procrastinating!
(Which i should!)
Cause Week 9's a killer too.

I thought I'll have a lot to say on this special day of yours, but now that I'm sitted, all focused to blog about it, I'm lost for words. It's not that there's nothing to say, neither is it that there's too much to say, it's probably just that I feel you should know all that I've and want to say...

So, I shall just keep it really simple. Happy Birthday YanYin! You've a very Speical and Important Friend. We may be miles apart, But I feel close to you as ever.I really love the way our friendship's staying strong and steadfast. And cliche as it is, you know I'm one call away, anytime. I hope our 'weekly' calls continue till the very week you graduate...I'm one person who don't believe in 'forever' but I want to believe that we will create those little dreams and memories together, in many years to come....

It's been very long since I met up with anyone in the morning! lols. And so met Sharon at 1030 today for dim sum at Victor's kitchen at Sunshine Plaza! It was yummy! Shann always have this kinda nice food place to reco! :D The chef's from hk... there's the tasty milk tea and 油炸there...
I kinda miss hk!

Had a good chat over the meal! Shann's prob the only one who really can talk to me abt tvb stuff...lols. and we kinda touch on many other stuff i think! Meet up soon again Shann! :D

Studied for the afternoon. Not very productive but neither is it very unproductive... ahahah!

Whichever the case, met up with the clique for dinner. It's been months since I last saw Sl and Phyllis! So it was good that we all met! Went to Iluma's Ben Ten Cafe.

The food's pretty good! And the restaurant actually divides the total amount/total pax on the receipt! Going on dutch is the trend! :)

And that's us! :D

Caught the ugly truth with sl after dinner! The cineplex's big and very empty too! hahaha! But it's good cuz with the already spacious seats, we had the whole row to ourselves. And the show was indeed quite hilarious, Sl was practically banging herself everywhere! hahaha! Really had a good laugh! Yeah! :) The show's probably in the 'just for laughs' category, but... one thing very true about it is its title... The truth is, for most of the times, or always, ugly! :)

Friends vs. Family.

Friendships are a commitment.
Family Ties are a commitment for life.

It's a wonder that our lives evolve around family and friends.
But yet, there's so much difference between these two groups of people.

Two persons can turn from strangers to friends.
But so can they turn from friends to strangers.
Family however, will always be family.
It's a one directional matter.
Friends can become family,
but family hardly become friends.

There're the untold 'family rules' to follow such as the adults are always right.
Even though you are over 21, nope, you're never going to be an adult in the eyes of family laws.
Other than the few younger members whom you can yell at occasionally,
there's nothing much you can do except to act dumb in times of conflict.
There can be untold 'friendship rules' as well.
But then, at least they are in our own hands, at our discrete.
Unhappy? Turn your head and leave or yell it out straight.
Still unhappy? Then just leave it, thanks for the memories.

No wonder some people just prefer to hang out around friends.
Not that friends are people we can just dump around,
but at least, we're 'emotionally satisfied'.
It's just that unbearable to keep those rants inside.

The common knowledge is that 'Diana's a family person'.
It's true, and it's not that I don't like it.
But at 20 years old, with 5/7 days devoted to school work,
Weekends, public holidays conveniently termed 'family days'.
I do get bored.
I need more than these.

It's amazing how adults know that youngsters with dates need time for their dates.
And how oblivious they are to the fact that youngsters without dates need time for themselves.
I need to add more colours to my mundane life!
I need to start experiencing late night out, go travelling with friends, doing stupid things.
It's not because my feathers have hardened, nor is it because I got a car...
It's because...
If I don't do all these now, when do I?
Till the day I'm old and hagged perhaps?

And in case you think otherwise, I am still a family person.
My family's still cool, I still enjoy family gatherings.
But albeit all the happiness, there're bound to be differences in opinions, conflicts etc.
The stubborn person here can't act dumb so she needs to rant it here at least.

Diana just need a little more balance and a little more freedom.
